Maisie Richardson-Sellers was born and raised in London. Her parents are actors, and she spent most of her youth around theatres – fueling her interest in the performing arts from a young age. Upon graduating from James Alleyn’s Girls School, Richardson-Sellers was keen to further both her acting and her academic interests. She attended The University of Oxford where she graduated with a BA Hons in Anthropology and Archaeology. While attending college, she performed in a wide range of both classical and modern plays.
Upon leaving university, Maisie was offered her first professional acting role in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Following this, she got a leading role in The CW’s series “The Originals,” playing Rebekah Mikaelson/Eva Sinclair in seasons two and three. In April 2015, Maisie began work on the series “Of Kings and Prophets” in which she starred as Michal, the youngest daughter of King Saul and future wife of King David.
Maisie currently stars on The CW’s series “Legends of Tomorrow” as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen. She joined the cast in season two.
When she’s not acting, Maisie spends her time sailing and documentary film-making.
